1. The Company
These terms apply to all quotations, orders and installations carried out by Shires Shutters and Blinds Limited (Company No. 17216393) ("Shires", "we", "us").
2. Quotations
Written quotes are valid for 30 days from issue. Quotes are based on the measurements and specification recorded at survey and assume reasonable access to the windows for installation.
3. Orders & Deposit
A 50% deposit is payable on order acceptance to cover bespoke manufacture. The remaining balance is due on the day of installation. Made-to-measure items are non-refundable once manufacture has begun, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
4. Delivery & Installation
Typical lead times: shutters approximately 8–10 weeks, blinds 2–4 weeks, awnings approximately 2 weeks, all from order, subject to product. We will agree an installation date with you in advance. We require clear access to each window and a working power supply for tools.
5. Guarantee
Every installation carries a 10-year written workmanship guarantee against fitting defects. Manufacturer warranties on the products themselves vary by range, typically 3–5 years (motorised components in line with the manufacturer's standard cover). Fair wear and tear, accidental damage and unauthorised modification are excluded.
6. Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Consumer Rights
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by these terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
