Shires is owned and run by Callum Halpin, a single, accountable craftsman fitting bespoke shutters, blinds and awnings across Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. No call centres, no sub-contractors, no commission-led sales visits.
Our Story
Shires Shutters and Blinds Limited (Company No. 17216393) was founded to give Shropshire homeowners a straight answer: one fitter, one quote, one guarantee. After 7+ years measuring period bays in Ludlow, listed cottages in Bridgnorth and new-builds in Shrewsbury, Callum knows the buildings he's working in.
We specialise in hardwood plantation shutters, made-to-measure blinds, and patio/shopfront awnings, fitted across Ludlow, Hereford, Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Church Stretton, Bewdley, Leominster and Much Wenlock.
Every order is surveyed in person, manufactured to the millimetre and fitted by the same person who quoted it. That's the standard.
Mission & Standards
- Solid hardwood and named-brand componentry, never house-label MDF passed off as timber.
- Tolerances measured to ±1 mm; out-of-square bays surveyed with templates, not guesses.
- Ten-year written installation guarantee on shutters, three years on blind mechanisms, full manufacturer cover on motorisation.
- Fixed written quote. The price you sign is the price you pay.
- Dust sheets down, off-cuts removed, windows cleaned before we leave.
